Banana Sheera always takes me back to my childhood when my mother used to cook this dish for me when I used to be difficult and refuse to eat anything else. This dish brings back so many happy memories and I hope to share that happiness with you all today. Lets get right into it.
- 1 cup Suji (Rava)
- 1 cup Desi ghee
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cup milk
- 2 bananas sliced
- App spoonful of ghee in a pan and let it get melted. Add rava into the pan and roast rava on slow flame for 4 to 5 minutes
- Take it out on a plate, on the same pan add rest of the ghee and banana, cook banana for 2 minutes. If you want you can increase the quantity of banana and reduce the quantity of sugar, this will bring more natural sweetness to your dish
- Add your roasted rava and cook this for 3 to 4 minutes. Once rava starts to absorb ghee add sugar and give it a good mix, cook this for next 2-3 minutes
- Once sugar starts to dissolve add milk and mix everything. Cover the pan with the lid and cook for another 5 to 7 minutes or until your rava is cooked through. Keep an eye on this halwa because this tends to stick to the pan
Garnish this with some dry fruits and you are good to go. This dish is so close to me. I hope you will enjoy this dish as much as I do.
